Day One!

The beginning: The books that make a chef the Chef (see photo).

Finally, day one is here.

In the morning I was shocked to find my car covered with a good layer of ice. Unfortunately I don't have any scraper inside, so I have to wait while it is warm enough to melt this ice.

Tomorrow there will be no such problem, because we suppose to take shuttle to school (there is limited parking available at school).

It was orientation day today. We were told
what we should do and we shouldn't. We received a big bunch of info about different subjects, like security, uniform, etc.

The centrepiece of the day was lunch. It was amazing - baked salmon, pork scallopini, risotto with cheese, broccolini, grilled fennel and wonderful desert (cheesecake, cake, cookie). Don't know yet if we are going to have lunch like that everyday or this was a special occasion (the first day).

I've got my uniform except for the jacket. Official jacket with my name embodied on it will arrive some day next week.

Also I've received a set of books for my course. The books are really heavy. May be we should start reading, but we were not told what book to start with, so I think to start from the smallest one.

Soon it will be time for dinner and preparation for day two. We suppose to be in uniform and I should iron pants.
